Servicefradrag and the green deduction in 2026

Two different deductions get mixed up in conversation. Servicefradrag is the deduction for certain services, including cleaning and garden labour. Håndværkerfradrag for ordinary craft work was gone from 1 April 2022 through 31 December 2024. From 2025 through 2027 it is back in a narrower form: green improvement, grøn istandsættelse.

Figures recorded here

On 18 September 2026 this catalogue recorded these ceilings for the 2026 tax year, from the rules published by SKAT:

Confirm both numbers and the list of eligible work on skat.dk before you subtract anything from a quote. A ceiling is not a refund of the whole invoice. The deduction follows the labour that is actually on the list.

What usually falls outside

A normal bathroom or kitchen renovation is usually not on the green list. Indoor painting of a room is usually not either. The Danish guides on this site say the same. Cleaning and ordinary garden labour are the jobs where people most often use servicefradrag, and only when the invoice shows the labour.

A heat-pump grant is a different scheme. On 18 September 2026 this catalogue recorded 27,000 kr from Varmepumpepuljen under Energistyrelsen, and noted that the grant and the green deduction are not both used on the same project. Check ens.dk before you apply. The English lists do not include heat-pump firms.
